PJ Harvey: Let England shake. Iceland 2011
Polly Jean Harvey, indie hero of our bygone youth, was never really gone, but as strong as with this album because it was not a long time. Ruled earlier often a good deal of anger across all of the songs is "Let England shake" full of nuances, even the one at the 20th Time listening deal. And dominated early vocal, guitar or piano (like the last album "White Chalk") in Excess, there is now a whole lot of trappings. The issues revolve now not as strong as before the person Polly Jean, but are read social policy in the first. The misery of England is now shouted from PJ Harvey not easy, often with surprisingly gentle voice, the singer is with the states apart in their homeland. And in between there are just a few minutes crash - and this, the British woman like no other. A beautiful multi-faceted drive, even for people who previously could not have much to do with PJ Harvey. Playing tips: "Words that maketh murder", the wacky properly "on Battleship Hill" and the title song "Let England shake".
